This story comes from several hundred kilometers North-West of Yuendumu. The women from this area traveled and collected the seeds and pods of this particular species of Acacia Tree, as it is a highly prized food source.

In the hot summer, the seed pods are collected, burnt in a fire, then cracked open. The seeds inside the pods are then ground up and made into 'good food'. The juice from the seeds is also collected and is consumed as it is also edible.
