Anson is a traditional artist from Thursday Island in the Torres Strait. He makes Dharis, which are a traditional headdress used for ceremonial dance. It is typically worn by the men from the Torres Strait Islands and are made from a range of different materials.

This Dhari is made of materials that includes: cane, feather, cowrie shells, crayfish horn, glue and acrylic paint.

The Dhari itself measures 80cm (H) x 57cm (W), the overall frame measures 102cm (H) x 68cm (W)
