This painting depicts ants flying around their nests. The ants migrate during the rain, growing wings to fly to a dry nest. They then lose their wings as they enter a new nest and are collected as they fall to the ground outside the nest. The ants are considered a delicacy by the Warlpiri people as they are sweet and high in protein.

Also depicted in this painting are the bush plums, which are picked when they are dried in the sun. They can be ground with water to make a paste, and then consumed.
