Damien and Yilpi blend both Women’s and Men’s Dreaming stories, using traditional iconography and dot work to represent sites of significance; where ceremonies were conducted, campsites and where to gather water. It also describes landmarks such as the Tali Tali (sandhills) and mountain ranges, spinifex, travel paths and bush foods. This painting essentially ‘maps’ out where these important areas, foods and ceremonial sites are located in their country.
