Lucky Morton Kngwarreye is the oldest daughter of fellow Utopian artist Mary Morton Kemarre. Lucky like many of the women of Utopia began her artistic career through learning and practicing the art of Batik. Her work is represented in the Holmes á Court Collection, which was exhibited extensively within Australia and abroad.

Lucky comes from a highly talented and successful family, the most renowned members of the Kngwarreye family being the late Emily Kame Kngwarreye. However it is Mary Morton, Lucky’s mother who has inspired and been a positive influence for Lucky in pursuing her artistic career.
