1928

Utopia, NT

He is the younger brother of the late Emily Kame Kngwarreye who was considered to be the most prominent indigenous artist of her time. Kudditji Kngwarreye's style has dramatically changed over the course of his artistic career.

His most recent paintings are created by using a heavily loaded paint brush. His paintings can either be dramatic, bold and energetic or quiet and restrained and have been likened to those of Rothko. These paintings are described as abstract colour fields that allude to the landscape he feels such an affinity to.
